Today at Hogwarts...

So I was in the library today and they told me off for staring into the Restricted Section from the outside. Now, here's what I don't understand: why is there a Restricted Section at all? Isn't this a school? Isn't their whole purpose to provide knowledge. Not that the books are banned right out, but the hoops you need to jump through to get one officially? It's too much.

Fuck Screw Censorship! If you take a book, you should be responsible for what you do with it. Why don't they teach us that instead of babying us and keeping us away from the books? Maybe I don't really do classes that well. But that doesn't mean I couldn't take on anything in those books. I think I can. I think I should be allowed to try. I think I'm more like to learn from the books there than some of the teachers here.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand tests. I like that a lot of the classes ar practical, but if you want to know Goblin history, why not ask a goblin? Maybe Binns should bring one in. It would wake up all the drooling students who go to his classes all the time. When I'm tired, I just skip it and sleep through it. I can catch up in the book. Not that the book is much better, but at least I can read it when I'm awake. If I'm going to go, then I'm going to at least show him the courtesy of staying awake. If I'm going to sleep, I think it's more respectful of his time to just not show up. You know?

As for my other teachers, McGonagal isn't bad, but she's too... strict? I think strict is the word. Rules, rules, rules. That's all it seems to be in her class. And she wonders why I don't do well on her tests. She summoned me to her office last week. She asked me where I was last Monday. I was honest. I didn't lie to her. She's know anyways. I feel like she knows. A seventh year told me that it was feeding time for the Venomous Tentacula and I wanted to see it. She seemed a little surprised by my honesty, but gave me detention anyways. Maybe she's not so bad as she seems. Apparently, most kids lie when they skip class. I got some tea and biscuits, though. That was cool.

Anyways, Filch just passed by this room, so I have half an hour until he passes by the kitchens. Time to go get a snack. I'm trying to catalogue his rounds. They seem to be the same every night. I've heard there were people once who had it all figured out. I'll have to ask Ichiyo if he knows. His brother went here too...

Hey- uh, I don't know you and you don't know me, but if you want information on Filch's rounds (and where Mrs Norris likes to hide to surprise you) as well as nifty passages and stuff, I can help you out. We used to plan it all out for various reasons ... anyway, if it's the same - which I totally wouldn't put past him, I'll try and find that stuff for you.

Yeah- course! I could send it all to you if you want, wrap it up in a package in case they decide to open people's mail (they've never done that before, I don't think they will).
